It is our pleasure that in the name of Mountaineers’ Association “Gjeravica” from Peje/Pec invite you to participate in the International Gathering in Accursed Mountains “RUGOVA 2007”

Mountaineers’ Association “Gjeravica” from Peje, founded in 1928, is one of the oldest associations not only in Kosova but also in the region, with reach tradition in mountaineering and alpinism.

This year gathering “Rugova 2007” will take place on 27, 28, 29 July in the picturesque Mountain of Liqinat, where except participants from Kosova mountaineers and alpinists from Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Monte Negro, Albania, Turkey, Sandzak, Slovakia etc. are expected to take part as well.

Some of the aims of this event are marking of the seventy seventh (79) anniversary of the Mountaineers’ Association “Gjeravica”, introduction of mutual values and traditions of mountaineers’ and alpinists’ from Kosova and other countries, exchange of experiences, conquering of the mountain peak “Guri i Kuq” (2522m), cooperation between mountaineers associations as well as environmental protection.

Participants will be accommodated in the Motel “Guri i Kuq” in tends and 6 mountain huts equipped with bathrooms, kitchens with all needed equipment, surrounded with regulated and healthy environment, located in the “Accursed Mountains” at 1400m altitude beneath hillsides of breathtaking Liqinat.

All local and international mountaineering associations should confirm their participation and number of their members willing to come to the International Gathering “Rugova 2007” until 20th July 2007. Participants are advised to be adequately equipped with requisites for this event.

Compensation per participant for three day stay in this event is 15 €.

Food, accommodation, transports from Peja to Liqinat village and return to Peja as well as security of the participants during the event is the obligation of Mountaineers’ Association “Gjeravica”.
